My Hijri Planner
Keep your personal events on Hijri or Gregorian dates: birthdays, wedding anniversaries, family occasions, travel and appointments. The planner shows each event's next date in both calendars and the days remaining, and exports your events to your phone calendar.
Privacy: your personal events are stored locally in this browser and are not uploaded to hijriGO servers.
How the next date is calculated
- Hijri event that repeats every year: for each coming Hijri year we work out the Gregorian day that matches the same date in the Umm al-Qura calendar, so the event comes about 11 days earlier in the Gregorian calendar each year.
- The 30th of a month: if the Hijri month has only 29 days in a given year, the event is shown on the 29th that year, with a note; the date you entered is kept exactly as it is.
- Gregorian event that repeats every year: it comes back on the same day of the same month. An event on 29 February is shown on 28 February in non-leap years, without changing the saved date.
- One-off event: it stays on its date and moves to “Past” once the date has gone by.
- Limits: the site covers 1318 to 1500 AH (about 1900 to 2076 CE). If the next date falls outside this range, we say so clearly instead of guessing a date.
Hijri dates are calculated with the Umm al-Qura calendar; they are not official moon-sighting announcements, and a date may differ by one day from your country's announcement. If you have chosen the “Adjust the day” option on the home page or in the converter, it applies to the planner too. How we calculate.
Reminders and calendar files (ICS)
The site does not send notifications. The planner shows a countdown, and you can export one event or all upcoming events to an ICS file that you open with the calendar app on your phone or computer; that app sends the reminder, according to its settings. ICS files use Gregorian dates, because calendar apps read the dates in this format as Gregorian dates, so a repeating Hijri event appears once for each of the next ten years.
Where is your data kept?
Only in your browser (local storage, localStorage), with no account, no email address and no phone number. We never send your event names, dates or notes to a server, and we never put them in links. If you clear the site's data in your browser, or open the planner on another device or browser, your events will not be there, so download a JSON backup from time to time and restore it when needed. Details are in the privacy policy.
