Convert a Hijri Date to Gregorian
Enter the Hijri day, month and year, then press Convert (years 1318 to 1500 AH). For the other direction use Gregorian to Hijri, or the two-way converter.
Example
1 Shawwal 1448 AH is Tuesday 9 March 2027.
Good to know
A Hijri month has 29 or 30 days, so the converter checks that the day you enter exists in that month. The Hijri day actually begins at sunset the evening before.
How this tool works
Type the Hijri day, month and year (1318 to 1500 AH) and the tool shows the matching Gregorian date with the day of the week. It rejects day 30 when the month has only 29 days that year according to Umm al-Qura, because Hijri month lengths vary from year to year.
Worked examples
1 Ramadan 1448 AH falls on Monday 8 February 2027, and 10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1448 AH falls on Sunday 16 May 2027.
Common questions
Why does the tool say day 30 does not exist?
Umm al-Qura months have 29 or 30 days following the Moon’s cycle, so a month of 29 days has no day 30. Try day 29, or open the month calendar to see its length.
Does this match Ramadan and Eid in my country?
It may match or be a day off. Many countries, Morocco among them, rely on moon sighting with an official announcement, whereas the date here is calculated. Follow the official body in your country.
Can I share the result?
Yes, you can copy the result or share a link to it; the day of the week is shown with it.
